If congress ever actually gets their heads around the idea that the internet is almost impossible to control there will be attempted crackdowns and all manner of hell before they give up.

Depends on which country you are talking about. We owe China a lot of money. On the other hand, plenty of countries in Africa and the Middle East "borrow" money from us all the time (which we likely will never get back). So you're right, America is not the world's creditor. We don't really lend that much money at all, since lending implies that we'll get it back.

(This post sounds a little like flamebait, and I apologize for that. I'm not trying to anger anyone, just trying to point something out).

I dislike Apple as much as the next guy, but making a comparison between them and Walmart is just cruel... Their products are nowhere near that bad.

This things runs Android and iOS apps while this only runs Android... I guess I will pick the first one)

I really don't think Apple would ever do either of these things. It's just not how they operate. Then again with Jobs gone they may change some of that culture...

A lot of PC developers get around that by releasing a beta preview (or do as Google does and just release everything as beta). Then they get tons of usage data, and most people realize it's in beta, it will break sometimes. But from what I can tell there isn't really an easy mechanism for doing this with phones (and people would get much more upset if apps broke).
