    IIRC, there exists a variable type that has a decimal number encoded in a byte... Very lossy, I believe it was just using a few bits/byte...
    I've never used them, so it's all quite hazy...

    Isn't the rumor that transmeta is making a risc cpu with x86 emulation or something of the likes? If so, I doubt it'll go on your standard mobo.

    Not really, because by the law (at least the ones we know of), microsoft isn't forced to restrict people from using their own cryptography.

    I think this has been pretty much answered: Updates will only be done if serious bugs are discovered. Seems pretty unlikely, after all this time... But you never know.

    TiK uses the TOC (Talk to Oscar) protocol, an ascii protocol that AOL has given free. MS however uses oscar... And aol isn't to happy about that...

    How about using the least significant bits from /dev/audio (making sure the mic is a full volume).
    Even the computer's fan should be enough to make this unbreakably random.
