I build custom electronics (prototyping and the occasional small scale run). I expect that depending on the type of apocalypse, a McGyver type would do well, especially one who can also sail.
However, realistically I'd end up shot or in chains, for I am rubbish in a fight.
I get around this by using wheelchair-sized "tanks" (they used to be tanks, now they have wheels to look less scary) to do my deliveries. Have since 2010.
What's in it for $GOV is that they are safe from $HUMAN, same as the other way round. It's impossible to have a civil conversation when anyone can use truncheons in places of arguments. If that's the case, I suggest having a refereed boxing match first, and then a conversation later.
Suppose that I am a whistleblower or leaker, and the FBI wants to discuss the matter with me. Why can't I just send a telepresence machine to talk to them?
If they have questions for Assange or Snowden, can't they just use Skype?
I agree that it's a big "if". IF there is absolute good and absolute evil, then any agent is subject to it, including God.
IF not, then it's ultimately a matter of might makes right at some level, which is what a lot of God believers think, at the end of the day.
And then what? Well, then have a fair trial and enact a sentence if God is found guilty. Ideally, this should involve giant robots, although having them piloted by angsty teenagers is optional.
If there is such a thing as absolute moral law, then it really has to be absolute, meaning God isn't exempt from it.
And the God you refer to is guilty of multiple genocides.
If he exists, then it is mankind's duty to find him and drag him to Le Hague for trial.
I'm happy to work for free towards this goal. Already doing a bit of NASA stuff on the side, if they want my full time attention, they can have it, I can live off royalties for a bit. Space stuff is awesome.
I've been using 8 core chips since 2006... so have most people who use Parallax microcontroller. I still wonder why the Arduino made such a splash since it came out a couple years after the Prop.
it works pretty well; the device carries a 3g/4g hotspot to drive itself to where it has to go, then turns off the wheels, turns on the wiifi, and sits there (solar panel). You can see a video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
the oldest one turns 4 years old at the end of the month. They are "maintained" by dockworkers, exist in a very taxing environment (dredging) and they Just Work.

So what? Buy one or don't, I don't care.
This is great. Selling my bitcoins now. (Even if I make a loss, it will be worth it in peace of mind).
Any chance we can use this for seti@home, folding@home and stuff like that?
Apple has enough fanboys that it doesn't need to.

In countries that base themselves in English common law, since never. Looks like the FAA didn't get the memo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E...

That's my point. If $GOV wants to talk to $HUMAN, they can do so in a mutually safe manner.

The best part is that a tinfoil hat would work against this sort of stimulation (if you manage to keep the hat).

Thanks, I learned something today!

they've had alternate plates in Milan since the late 80s. This caused a spate of license plate theft.

They (indirectly) executed Alan Turing, though.
I think I have my next project, then? Does anyone want to buy one of these?
Tesla's drive system is not quite up there yet. But I wouldn't be surprised if the next one was a hybrid, just to show hybridness off.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?... It's super easy, I will gladly send you the schematics.

And now I want to play AMFV again.
Given that the marginal cost to do so is basically zero, I have to wonder why not.
I'd go with Turing-completeness.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?... If they want one, I've built these since 2009.
