did you know the original Shuttle designs had emergency systems which would have prevented the Challenger disaster?
The original Shuttle designs also were planned to be processed horizontally(like an airliner), reduce launch costs to the vicinity of $100-200 per pound to Low Earth Orbit(1975 dollars) and to have a two week turnaround. AFAIK, the shuttle has about a 3 month turnaround if they rush it, and it still costs $10,000+ to launch a pound into LEO. The problems with the shuttle were not brought about by congress, but by technology.
Also, they do have alternative methods for redundancy. Was I the only one that noticed that they still have disposable canisters to use for CO2 scrubbing?
The sad fact is this: Bush supporters vehemently oppose a re-vote because they know that Bush would lose the race in Florida if this happened. Everything else is gravy. Whether or not intelligent, informed people(the kind who read/.) think this ballot is confusing is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is that something went awry, and a revote would completely fix that problem.
I think there were some technical problems in getting a robot to act like a, erm, robot.
My understanding was that Kenny Baker is used mostly in the instances where R2D2 is acting like a human, such as when he bounces around and whistles to show excitement or unhappiness. In those cases, they had an R2 "suit" that KB got into and could put his feet just above where R2's wheels are. Especially towards the later movies, most of the shots where R2 drives around were remotes and just the closeups with human-like movements were done by Kenny Baker
Ok folks, let's get this straight from right now. The tax estimates on the BC web page are based upon total taxes. Canada has so many different ways to tax you than the US uses that comparing just one or two of them is irrelevant. Canada has Federal income tax, Provinicial income tax(which is higher than the fed tax), 15 or 16% sales tax(which is applied to much more than it is in the US), about double the gas tax, and property tax. I'm sure that the estimate of 60% was an attempt to add all those taxes together.

1-P3 1000 + mobo = 600 + 50 = 650
just where are you planning to get said p3-1000? last i heard they were about as easy to find as an FSU fan who wasn't cocky.
