Yeah, Kathryn Thurber is known as a total slut at Carleton University... ex-prostitute, sleeps with any man with a pulse, kept posting on internal university newsgroups saying shit like "who cares about men, (or women), all that matters is the ultimate orgasm! I mean, do you remember your ex-boyfriends as much as your best orgasm ever, no way!? " (paraphrased, I never bothered to archive the newsgroups, it's a shame...)

Apparently or friend systemBuilder here is one of those l337 hax0r d00dz who thinks that cycle counting is the end-all and be-all of software design. People like that have no concept of higher level software design; they're too close to the hardware to see that there's a bigger picture to be considered when dealing with large software products/applications/architectures/what have you.

I'm fascinated by your sig. Especially the link from the discussion there that goes to the sourceforge discussion about the lack of distinguishing between editors and users when moderation is done.

The question "what are they trying to hide?" comes to mind(since letting the user know about who is moderating is an obvious Win for a high quality web board),
but the answer is pretty obvious; moderation is completely broken on Slashdot. The only unknown is whether this is for social or technical reasons.
