  1. Questionable on Mr. President, There Is No (US) Engineer Shortage · · Score: 1

Mr. Wadhwa should really learn to find out the full story before he goes ranting. I believe the original source of this story is probably: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2011/06/14/eveningnews/main20071167.shtml

  2. Re:It feels old and already seen on World of Warcraft Finally Loses Subscribers · · Score: 1

That's an interesting statement. I know a number of people both IRL and in-game who went to Rift and every one of them returned to WOW within 2 months saying that it was no better than WOW and they missed the group of people they played with. I do agree there is a lot of competition, but it's in the "other things to do" category more than the "a better MMO to play" one.

How much longer can our workforce afford to higher someone because they own a piece of paper and not on their ability?

  5. Another perfect example... on LSD Alleviates 'Suicide Headaches' · · Score: 1

Has anyone else noticed that many substances declared as illegal by the US government have been found to have very valuable medical benefits? Alcohol was once prohibited and now you'd be hard-pressed to find a cardiologist who wouldn't suggest a glass or 2 every day for heart health. LSD, cannabis, and even shrooms are very low in toxicity and don't destroy your liver and/or kidneys like most prescription pain meds will.

  6. fear-mongering on Ask Slashdot: How Do I Scrub Pirated Music From My Collection? · · Score: 1

Congratulations - you are a shining example of how well the paranoia-generating fear-mongering of the RIAA is working. Contrary to what the RIAA wants you to believe, you are innocent until proven guilty. If you can't figure out what is legit and what is not then how the hell do you expect them to?

  7. Inventor turned troll? on Bittorrent and uTorrent Sued For Patent Violations · · Score: 1

Hey look, it's another patent troll. I did a bit of research about the guy behind it (Scott Redmond) and it appears he has gone from a failed innovator to get-rich-quick troll. Sad. http://www.trademarkia.com/company-redmond-scott-3344589-page-1-2

I agree. Airport security is just a very expensive dog and pony show. There have been more incidents of banned items found on aircraft such as guns, knives, etc. than terrorists arrested and the majority of the items were put/left there by...security. We taxpayers are paying insane amounts of money not to arrest terrorists but to get felt up and patted down.
