First.. try to find a lawyer that would take your case for free. Also, There are plenty of sites
on the net that will show you how to convert
a microwave oven into a high power transmitter/scrambler. I'd put a microwave feed horn on my roof, point the antennea to the tower, and try to saturate their equipment with signal and render it useless. (Microwaves are dangerous... so be carefull or you can get permanently disabled)
I'm getting tired of seeing microwave towers all over New England myself. Tired enough to get rid of my cell phone. Besides that probably do cause cancer. Microwave radiation so close to living tissue, what were they thinking. I no longer have a cell phone, I prefer to listen to tunes as I am
driving and don't feel like talking on a bloody phone. If I get lost, I'd go and ask for directions. And if I am running late.. big deal!
try the legal approach first, if that doesen't
work, organize a mob of angry protesters.
Also you can get them in the pocketbook. Get everyone not to pay thier phonebill. There is power in numbers. If you get everyone not to pay the phone bill, they will backdown.
Netscape 6 can't even read a mime.type file!
has anyone used this succesfully with Linux and
get it to read the mime.typefile? I was lucky
I backed up. I am back running 4.7
The Conqueror browser seems less buggy!
There's a lot of ways to pull this off. How much
engineering experience do you have? You can
hack this together as well. Tivo boxes are pretty cheap, you can stack multiple Tivo boxes, modify the code so you don't use thier service. Use a Linux server to activate the servers.. That's a hacked approach.
To play 8 DVD movies at the same time would require some serious horespower, even with hardware dvd decoding. It might be easier to set up multiple On-Demand channels and have set movie times.
I worked at a University as a Sysadmin, one dorm
was planning on digital on demand. Movies were viewed on the users computer or a tv/monitor atached to the video out.
Check the net, there is plent of open source for video on demand. Possibly you can aquire 8 Creative Labs DVD driver (They work with Linux)

I am using kernel 2.2.14, and yes I have all configured ok! And most of the code compiles.

I think we should start a newsgroup on egroups
for all of us who want to create a massive WWW
AFS implementation. I've got bandwidth from my
cable modem, and I can limit the number of concurrent connections to my AFS server with my
firewall.. All I need to do is get all the code compiled and I can easily configure this puppy since I used to be a DCE/DFS admin!
Anyone interested?
Pollution should be cleaned up.. but
a higher tax on fuel will mean a massive recession. I dealt with it in the early 90's and
don't want to go through that again!
Or.. maybe I'll get a deisel engine for my
97 Silverado and run the truck on used cooking oil from restraunts. A Cold fusion reactor to generate electricty for my house since you can't
be 100% dependant on solar energy in New England.
And perhaps a solaluminescent reactor.
We need to start spending more time researcing alternative energy!

I checked out that puppy.. gee 700 samolians!
The Neo 35 I bought from a vendor (I am no spammer) cost me @$250.00, you add your

with backlit LCD screen, IDE interface (You slap this puppy in a drive bay and copy the file that way) Car Bay, remote.. I am going to modify
the car bay to be both a home and car bay.
I thought the price was pretty good, considering
I was going to build my own from scratch, It would
cost me more. There's a neat controller board design out that's based on a third generation 8051
stype processor, cpld interface to hard drive.. but to build the board it would cost @ $150.00, then add the price of building a nice case w/dispaly (the board does not support an LCD yey, you need to design your own interface and code)
So I think the neo 32 is a great deal. just search the net for it if you are interested. Be carefull some high rolling yee-haw dealers charge
much more than what I paid for this puppy.
Good Luck!
And the answer to your question is you don't know
untile you try. There's no way of knowing if
the opeating system on your puppy will only
see the geometry of a gigger.. the only way
to try is slap a different drive on and see if it's recognized!

topped off the buffers. This prevented the popping

All I know is Microsoft Screwed me out of a royalty deal when I was 26 (11 years ago). I didn't sue then.. I believe what goes around, comes around. And they are gonna get bit. Microsoft hasn't seen anything yet! I believe the caldera buyout of SCO is going to propell Linux into more US Government markets. we are in the US postoffice now, Linux boxes are reading zipcodes and routing mail! Linux is also used in some US gov webservers, as well as database development stations. I am very happy with my Linux servers. VERY HAPPY. So stop your whining you little microsoftie
I sent a letter to the editor of ABC.COM stating what Moody posted is Libel and I posted sites that prove he is wrong. Including netcraft. perhaps we should start a boycott of anything to do with ABC. First we should start with an email blitz!
Linux is experiencing a massive surge again in popularity. Now more than ever we are going to see anti-Linux propaganda! For one.. Microsoft has an internal bug list that does not get published. This is Microsoft doing this. Maybe we should target Microsoft driven web sites and demonstrate how unsecure thier OS is. Remember... SPOOF! OK Also now how about those of us who have multiple operating systems, I am getting a copy of 2000 just for hacking on my LAN. And then I will publish my LEGAL exploits on my web site. This article pisses me off, I know how far off base this is. Also a bogus writeup was in the Providence Journal. They have NO CLUE. later!
Back when I was younger (I'm 37 now,I was 26 then) I worked at a programming shop in Yarmouth, MA. We wrote computer games. Wrint computer games is a really fun job, you get to write code that does some really cool tasks.. such as mixing unlimited sounds on the fly. back then there was no 3DFX engine.. we took photos of actual models from all diferrent angles.. We started with space games, made unique models, took pictures. Ahh the gaming engine.. yes that's work. And sometimes there woul be programmer's block. We would have a game... throw a ball around, go out for beer and pizza, and brainstorm. Now I guess I take things a bit too serious, that's from writing database applications. Who would of thought they pay big bucks to write Oracle databases.. Ahh the good old days.
NO!!!!!!!!! You are narrow minded. Napster is the equivilant of listening to a radio station.. except now we pick what we want. a 44Khz 196k bit/sec sample does NOT sound as good as a CD!!!!!!!! we are not doing 44khz 512k/sec samples! Do you have a clue??? If we like the tune enough we buy the CD. This is merely the same as recording a tune off the radio. Instead of FM modulation through the airwaves we are using TC/IP over the net. BIG DEAL. The recording industry and the Courts just don't get it. what's stopping the napster servers from moving overseas??? Nothing. I'd move the napster servers overseas and call them something else before I give up. I'd encourage all to go underground too. And to the RIAA... get a life. Napster and all other sites like it open a new door for New bands. I play the tenor sax. Rock and blues style. And in the recording industry it's either who you know or... Anyway.. There's many talented bands that don't get airplay. Now the playing field is getting leveled a bit.
The Government really thinks this will accomplish something? Well It's time to adapt the OpenNapster Server and clients to use SSL. And it's up to the operator of the authorization engine to let you in. Perhaps we can configure Authorization Clusters since many of us have cable modems now. The government can't take the internet away from us. It's up to us to evolve this code, sharing MP3 files is here to stay. I just bought a CD player that plays a CD full of MP3 files (@ 120 3 minute songs). I'm not going to let the government put an end to Napster trading now.
well, why did AT&T and mediaone go through? The MediaOne/AT&T merger affects me because I am a MediaOne Customer. I don't like the merger. We are being forced to drop the Road Runner Service and go with an internet service from AT&T What a joke.
Everyone knows Linux by default ships with Apache, INN, Squid, LinuxConf, And slew of other applications enabled by default. I bet the test Corel Linux box was running MANY applications besides GLQuake. Give me a break. Beos loads up with no daemons running. I'd like to see a true benchmark done.
Man, Broadband was supposed to promote competition. Now AT&T feels threatened so they are buying up the competition. This reminds me of a song from The Who, "We Won't Get Fooled Again" AT&T wants MediaOne to cut ties with Road Runner. I know. I am a Media One customer. I informed Media One if this goes through I will look for another provider. I also sent RCN a email suggesting that that offer service in my area since I do not wish to send AT&T my money.

Napster is the equivilant of listening to a radio station.. except now we pick what we want. a 44Khz 196k bit /sec sample does NOT sound as good as a CD!!!!!!!! we are not doing 44khz 512k/sec samples! And in the recording industry it's either who you know or ...
This Dude must get paid by Sun and HP to shoot his mouth off. Linux is as secure as you want it to be.
