The free market responds. DVD is (being) cracked, region settings are removed. It's a free market and when things can't go acoourding to dumb laws, thinga go underground and expand at a dramatic rate. How do you think MSDOS became the most popular DOS ? Because of lack of copy protection.
A CD costs f40-45 here, which is $18-$20. That's right. This is regular cds in regular stores prices, not imports or other weird cds. Luckily CDRs are very cheap. -- 'Pirate This Song'-God ate my homework

Not that there was a real democracy of course, otherwise Holland wouldn't have entered the EU in the first place.

Yeahyeahyeah. In this single discussion i've heard 'low bitate optimized' for all three codecs (Xing, Faurenhofer and ISO). Anyway, I like Xing becuase of Variable Bit Rate. (I use AudioCatalyst 2.2, which uses (if I'm not mistaken) the Xing MP3 Encoder 1.5 engine.)
I use CDRWin to extract my WAVS and encode them with AudioCatalyst (with a UltraPlex 40 max of course). I think the ripping part of AudioCatalyst (AudioGrabber) really stinks... I like the encoding part (Xing MP3 encoder) though. Previously I used a freeware tool (simply called Mp3compressor, version 0.9f is the last) which used a Faurenhofer (or whatever they're called) codec for compression (and since they included the codec for free, it was not very legal and got cancelled). Anyway Xing is about 5 times faster then Faurenhofer and that is the reason I use Xing, and I can't really hear the difference, but then again : I got a cheap stereo and like death metal so I won't really hear a bit extra distortion:)
Apart from the fact that 3dfx has a lousy attitude, UltraTNT2 offers 32 bit and AGP texturing. The only bad thing is you can't play your old glide-only games anymore.... Creative tried fixing that so people wouldn't have to buy/keep an V2 along with their UltraTNT2 and that is the ONLY reason 3dfx are suing. A reason why a V2 next to your TNT2 is a bad thing you ask ? 1. Graphic Quality. Even if you don't own a TNT2 or Matrox, the difference between directly on the card or looped through the V2 is clearly visible at 1600x1200. 2. Heat. Everybody who felt how hot a V2 gets knows this is a real problem. 3. It's another unavailable PCI slot (or two). So you can see, apart from idealogical reasons (API's should be public domain IMHO), unified whould acctually offer better quality over V2. I'm from holland so i don't know exactly how your education systems works, but I think that if you pay for each class you should get a few retakes of the exam for free... In holland you pay per year, so if you follow 1 class or a thousand (as if you could find the time:) ), you pay the same amout. You get 3 exams for each course every year.

Except that some (most?) region 2/3/4/5/6 transfers are done quick-and-dirty (becuase Hollywood will never see them).

Wp 5.1 claims that is is 01/01/:0 today :)
Using an overdrive processor.
It's expensive, but it works.
The only trouble if finding the right disk in the :) some people (like me) have
big pile of networkcardsdriversdisks
Everybody knows that.
But are YOU able to write firmware that will enable the G4 ?
I am a true addict I guess.
But I do not care.
For some vague reason, Athlon's seem to be
available at Funprice.
Did I say 2.2 ? I meant 2.0

All geeks of the underworld unite!
Swear to the unjoly pentium... uhh.. gram!
Both the Asus v3800 Deluxe and TVR have TV-in&out through SVHS and composite.
Grab the Asus Tv-Box with it (includes remote control) and voila !
