Don't like a teacher? Take a nude photo of yourself with your phone and send it to him then call the cops. Teacher is gone. Don't like a fellow student? Same thing applies.
People feel obligated to talk when on a phone for some reason. It's valuable minutes after all. That's why you'll never see someone putting down a phone to accomplish a task while driving. They'll just take longer to do the same task.
I've found when I'm talking on the phone I have to concentrate a little to understand exactly what they are saying. However, if someone is sitting right next to me I don't at all. This little bit of concentration winds up distracting me from other things.
It's much like how some people when talking on a cell phone are oblivious to what's around them and talk loudly about all sorts of things. If the same person was talking to someone sitting right next to them this doesn't happen at all.
And every other news channel and their constant liberal bias on everything is any different? I'm just glad there's at least one channel that leans straighter than far left.
By the way, EVERY "news" channel does not show news. It's all entertainment, ratings, and money. If you believe Anna Nicole Smith really was so important that these channels were right to spend hundreds of hours covering her death than I guess you would believe these channels really are a reliable source of news. The sad part is most of the US actually believes the crap they hear, thus our election results.
If people really wanted change they wouldn't have fallen into the same old two party system. Having an independent in the office would've been true change. However, I guess charisma and popularity wins out over rationalism and logic any day when the full mass of people is concerned.
The way things are now, if a game had the same punishment for civilian injury as it does in the real world, it would be -100 points for each civilian kill and 1 point for a good kill. Then in the game it would roll a dice to see if a reporter was at the scene of any said civilian casualty at which point it's game over no matter what. Yeah, that'd be more realistic.
What I meant was Japan's society; it's pro-death penalty, yet strangely fairly anti-war. That's because they are banned by treaty to not wage war except in defense. By the way you didn't mention Japan's most feared enemy, North Korea.
Dr. Calvin's character was described precisely in the books and everything lead to her job choice, character, and specialty. If someone looked liked she did in the movie she would've lead a completely different life.
By the way there wasn't just one large action scene in the movie, there were several and all of it had nothing to do with the premise. Hollywood felt they needed beef it up since they felt most viewers wouldn't have been able to appreciate the storyline without it. It's just yet another instance of Hollywood producers thinking people are stupid so they must pander to it.
So you're saying that if you watch porn you think about raping people? Dead wrong. By the way you're fixing you're fixing computers that belong to Marines (or maybe sailors), not soldiers.
I'm sure it didn't help that every time the RIAA and MPAA tried to shut down a torrent site it was big news everywhere. If people didn't know about it before they all know about it now. I'd like to see just when torrent usage went up matched up with times of various lawsuits.
PCPitstop.com recorded this information by offereing free malware scans. The very first lines at their web site are "Is your PC acting sluggish? Are strange windows inexplicably popping up on your screen?" If you have Limewire installed you probably fit that category dead on. Of course they're going to use their free services to try and remedy it. People with uTorrent don't necessarily have that problem so no point to going there.. besides they already run anti-malware apps they got via torrents anyway.
Those 1.6million PCs are only those that suffered problems that wanted that free scan. It basically just tells me that 17.8% of all PCs with problems had Limewire installed.
Read the article. Nobody reported their P2P software. PCPit stop recorded records of what applications were installed on any of the programs that they scanned. Pcpitstop.com offers free malware scanning and somewhere in there in fine print is something about recording your applications. Also they tried in varoius ways to detect unique programs so no matter how many times you ran it, it would only count as one.
Don't you hate it when your friends goes to a joke site and hits that "E-mail this to a friend" and give away your e-mail address to them??
By the way, check out Netforward.com. All they do is forward mail. This is a great site to create an e-mail account to use when signing up for stuff. I actually have one that forwards to another which forwards to my address. The 1st address I use for obvious mailing lists like contests and such. The 2nd one I use for signing up at web sites that involve discussions and such. Either way they're both disposeable.
Want to know why the fight sequences were better in CTHD? Well, most of those fighting in that movie were experienced martial artists training for many many years. In Matrix (like Charlie's Angels) actors were taught prior to shooting. Check out Twin Warriors. Good movie.
Holy shit! What world do you live in? Rather, what city do you live in and what's your address?? I think there are some people in this city that would love to drop by and take advantage of your pitiful naivette. You must still live your mother and never see the outside world or something. Damn.
Actualy I don't think 7 years is too harsh at all. I'm just pissed off that now he stole that company's resources, he's going to be sitting in a nice, sheltered prison with full ademnities all paid by us. I really resent having to pay for his next 7 years of life.
Personally, I'd rather he be put to death like all spammers should be. If not execution, they should be tied down in the center of a city with a printout of the spam they sent posted beneath them. That, a sign that reads "If you received an e-mail like this one before, feel free..." and LOTS of rocks placed in a container below.
Why release it to the wild so early?

Odds are if these scientists revive this species, they will eventually send them to various zoos. Imagine the turnout any zoo will have if they display a Tazmanian Tiger! Who in their right mind would miss something like that? It would be the most popular zoo animal ever. If a zoo nearby had one, I'm certain that anybody that has ever seen that famous black and white footage of the last one in the cage would make it a point to see one live.
Glycerol changes the degree of diffusion by absorbing water: It shrinks the tissue and modifies the way light is scattered.
It shrinks the damn tissue! Obviously if this is how it works, any prolonged use of it without proper medical attention could be very harmful. I don't see this particular technology with glycerol going too much further. Maybe some other chemical but it's going to have to work in a whole new way.
I say just rub some grease on anything. And if you can see through it, eat it!
I see some of you guys criticizing this company for their decision and bringing up stats on how many thousands of lives can be saved from this technology. However, have you heard about the influenza epidemic in 1918 that killed anywhere from 21-50 million people worldwide? Well, in the past few years they analyzed the genetics of that strain and found that it was most closely related to the swine flu. It mutated to humans and killed millions in short time. Years later there have been other instances of swine flu mutations as well that affected the world.
By genetically engineering pigs that are somewhere in between humans and real pigs, the risk of a new strain mutating to hit us goes up. Way up.

I feel for those that are in need of organs and I'm a fully body donor on my license but given the choice of thousands of lives risked or millions, I'd choose the former.
Maybe they just remembered that the strain of influenza that killed from 27-50 million (some say 21 million but some articles say 26mil died in India alone) in 1918 was closely related to the swine flu.

This is incredibly ridiculous.

I'm still waiting on Rendezvous With Rama, one of the BEST sci-fi books ever written.

The coolest thing about the simulator was not having to clean your rifle afterwards.

No point saying that here. Everyone knows about it. You'll have to post that info on forums like "What's Britney Up To?" or some crap like that.

Yep, they drive me nuts so I don't ever want one... well for work e-mail anyway.

Have you by any chance read a nice little series of books by R.A. Salvatore about Drizzt Do'Urden? Same thing with the retinas there.
