    Disabling your cache will make your performace drop like a plane out of the sky. It would be completly idiotic to disable the cache. HP mother boards don't include cache on there sub $1k systems, and they run a slow as cooled tar....

    I think that Rise and IDT should merge then buy the rest of Cyrix. With all the egineers they have I feel that aliance could come into the market with a killer product... But that's just my idea.

    Hey at least is in California, where the drivers are a bit knowing on how to drive.. In Texas, it's what ever goes. But they would still have to get a liecense to fly, thank god.

    Just reading over this, one thing came to mind.
    Say if people could travel like this and become the transport method in space, much like that of the car on land here on earth, what would happen if 2 bubbles were to come into contact with each other, like cars do on 635 (LBJ) everyday.

    Then if you were traveling backwards, as someone mentioned above, then some one were traving forward and they were to collide what would be the effect there?

    Just something to look into and make theories about.

    The second one I believe they would just stop in the middle of their travel in time and distance, but the fist I couldn't even come up with what could possibly happen....

    Beyond 2000's back in the late 80's..Hehe..
    Think about movies, were supposed to be doing warp travel this year.. Computers w/ super AI...
    It's amazing that people projected the late 90's and early 00's (=P) to be so much more advanced than it is. "Warp drive.... Sounds impressive.. Is that better than my over drive gear on my car?"

    Are they going to encode newer cd's w/ some new bit to prevent this? That's would be interesting to see them enforce this.... I still have a CD play from 85, which works wonderfully. But if there were to enforce this 'wonderful' idea, how would the CD players plays this 'enhanced' media. This above is the only way I could think that they could possibly do this.

    From what I understood is that it would be hard to make a true 64-bit or above x86 processor. I heard they had to fake it with 32-bit processors by hacking the instruction code some.

    So basically this chip is leaving the x86 instruction set, right?

    to be forced to read the bible.. The people should have the choice.. We are capible of making decisions on our own with out some 'governing' force making them for use.     Thank you mindstalker for clearing that up for me. But the comment about Microsoft about their product. I'm not a die hard MS guy, but I do like 98 becuase of the hw/sw support it delievers and the gui.. But I like linux, but it can be a pain in the ass like MS products. But i'm sticking w/ 98 until I get a new machine.

    It was early in the morning when I wrote the above, So please don't flame me over it..

    But there are other record assioations out there. BMI I think is a non profit orginazations, but alot of the underground label don't co-enside w/ the RIAA.
