I feel that the RIAA should be shut down. They make so much money off the artis and the artist.. Well lets see he has a sore butt.

I will not let myself join RIAA due their "stupidity". As I have mentioned before, I own my own record label and the label goes against the RIAA's beliefs. Our artists are the one's making the money, becuase we charge for the materials needed (which comes out our pocket) + $1 additional which is sent to the artist. So if we round out the prices of tapes and paper w/ print, we may score $.02 from each tape..... Not much at all, when the artist is paid $1 per tape. They are the ones that do all the work in all actuallality.

My experiances were this, popped the Boot disk in and the CD, turn on, fill out a couple things at the begining, pop out the disk, walk away for about 45 minutes, come back and just about everything is install for you. You might need newer drivers, but that's about it. That's on 9x and NT...3.x well that took a long time becuase it was a floppy install.. (ack!!)

Linux-Mandrake, well it installed all the apps, configured X for me, asked me my printer. That's it. Took me 45 minutes to install, then I had to figure out how to install my sound card (which never happened....) and it couldn't switch the tuplip card from 10bT to the 10b2 port.

But everyday Linux is becoming more and more supported and supports even more funky hardware an the installs are getting easier. By 2001 I feel that the installation process will a lot like 9x/NT in the respect that it can install all your hardware for you.

Telcom companys carry the means of communications to the analog modem/isdn/asdl/t1/etc.
