Thank you, I have believed what you said in your post for years. I really think that many of the people who used "holistic" (quack) cures are trying to accomplish what the study of immunology would do if the funding were available.
Thank you, after reading your post, I find that my feelings toward police are justified. Not only do you seem to expect extra thanks for doing what you are paid for, you also think that because you are paid to enforce the law, that gives you leave to break what ever laws you feel like breaking. In view of the predominance of that kind of attitude,I have felt for a very long time that we need to eliminate the police. Anything that springs up to replace them could not possibly be any worse than what we have now, and the chance to maybe get something other than glorified tax collectors could only be an improvement.
Microsoft=Virus, rootkit, trojans, adware, spyware, keyloggers and other helpful aids Linux=few if any virus, rootkits rare, trojans rare, I guess if you really need those and the other helpful Microsoft aids, Microsoft seal of approval is really the way to go.
You are SO right, everyone who can vote should. I am one of the laziest people that I know and if I can keep track of how our legislators vote, then anyone can. Congress.org has a place to sign up to track what they actually do and how they vote. If I do not like the way that they usually vote, then I vote for their opponent. It is that easy from top to bottom. There is also the fact that when you don't vote, you are spitting on the graves of everyone who has fought for the right to vote.
... I don't know, the games I play under Linux and Transgaming's Cedega out perform the same games under Windows even though the Windows boxed have higer ended hardware.
Thank You!!! I live in Oklahoma and this is the method that we use. It gives directions at the top of the ballot, and tells you upfront that if you don't mark it correctly that your vote won't count. This eliminates the problems from Florida in 2000, and provides an anonymous paper trail. Simple and trackable.
Perhaps, you should make your global conference calls on a land line maybe even in your office to help preserve security, NOT while you are trying to run ME off the road, while I am trying to eat dinner, or watch a movie that I paid to see!
If this company thinks that I am using a cracked version of their software, they need to go to a judge and get a warrant BEFORE they search my computer. I don't like the idea of someone coming in and searching my house, my car, or anything else without the proper authority and that especially includes private enterprise.
If this "poetry" were not targeted at children, I would say that you are absolutely right. However, too much of it is aimed at the under-ten crowd (can you say Brittany Spears or Insync) and parents have a legitimate need to know what the lyrics say.
School IS forced, and while children don't need to sit home and play video games, the kind of atmosphere that I have seen at my children's school reflects the hardline attitude that you seem to have. One day I went in during so called "free" time (before school) the kids were lined up sitting against a wall with some Hitler wannabe walking back and forth with a whistle and jumping on anyone that so much as talked. These kids weren't allowed to go outside or anything but sit there. With this kind of garbage to start the day, I really can't blame any kid for not wanting to cooperate in anyway with thier jailors. With this kind of uphill battle, I imaging that only the very best teachers have even a small chance to get through to more than a very small fraction of the students. I am not blaming the teachers, but the administrators. You are absolutely right school is SUPPOSED to be about learning, and when and if it becomes a pleasant place to be, then our kids might stand a chance
And you really think that closed source accepts responsibility for anything at all?? The difference between the two is that with OSS if you don't like something, and are willing to invest the time and effort, it can be changed.
