It's like their developers don't know anything at all. How can we expect for them to deliver a petition if they can't even build a website (that serves the country) that is at least cross compatible with all the mainstream browsers. This site is impossible to use in Chrome. I bet they developed and tested in IE. Time for a new government.
It would be truly helpful if somebody like Google started a developer/user community for their free services such as this. This would bridge the gap between those who need and those who can provide. A little consideration can go a long ways.
I find CodeIgniter to be the best platform with just enough tools to help you get the job done.
Heavy community support and tons of plugins too.
Combine this with jquery or javascriptmvc and you can build some awesome / scalable / maintainable web apps.
It's worth taking a look at.
