In science, a theory is not a really good guess or a conjecture. That is a hypothesis. When something is called a theory in science, it means "We are pretty darn close to being absolutely positive that we have the majority of it right, but there are a still a few kinks we still need to work out."
The fact that you think a theory is just a guess means you don't understand how science works at all.
