..you guysa rgue semantics way too much. Whichever way you look at it - this is a DARK day for the space program. Any cuts like this, signal dark days. We already, do not have enough resources dedicated to our future. And, space IS the future. You are not going to get any Heinleinian space messiahs coming along, no big business man with a vision that will lift us off this mud ball. No, stop arguing semantics - any cut to the space program, is a devastating cut. God dammnit, I want to get off this frikken rock before I die, and at the moment, nasa and its exploration is the only hope for private enterprises to follow.

  5. Re:Isn't this just like Howard? on Australia Is Getting Its Own DMCA · · Score: 1

The liberal government is doomed completely. Just look at WA, which was a staunch liberal state - the proof is there. They have handled affairs SO pporly, that they are totally doomed. All labour needs to do, is say that they will review these new tech laws and they will win the complete tech voter pool right there. Bloody pathetic - you know, I used to be fence sitter between liberal and labour, as they both ahd good ideals - but Mr Howard is not a Liberal - god knows what that government is, but it aint Liberal... As an aussie who is now residing here in the states...well, my god...this is *worse* than the DMCA - , under this, it willb e cokmpletely illegal to have cracks for any software on a website within Australia. what a shame my home has such a Totalitarian government - I laugh whenever I hear people call Australia a Democracy...what a load of shit..makes me think alot about ever wanting to live back home again - no wonder they are having a brain drain on tech people (like myself), they are showing a complete lack of understanding of anything of a technical nature, with blanket laws laid down by old farts who spent up to five decades not even knowing where the on button for a light switch was, let alone a computer. Idiots passing laws whent hey have absolutly no understanding of it. Glad I am a dual citizen, at least here in the states you guys have an inkling as to what your talking about when passing laws like this. They wonder why they have a brain drain. Idiots.

  7. why dont they release it with the wine source? on Direct3D Applications And Wine · · Score: 1

I dont get it really - it says ont here they will continue to release their non-3d stuff into the main wine tree - why not their 3D stuff as well ?? Thats really odd to me - why not put everything towards wine as well, isnt that the whole aim of wine? Why put up one portion, jsut so that you know, you have a solution but leave the thing crippled in a way ? Strange rational.
