The original subject suggested the President wasn't going to meet his stated goal of broadband availability. Might I suggest he follow the excellent idea of Tony Blair and his New Labour govt who made the same promise? Once you realise you haven't got a cat's chance in hell of delivering what you promised, re-define the word broadband to include ISDN.
So when I submitted this on the 22nd April it gets rejected, but now ntk runs a story it's newsworthy. Is there any reason why individuals submit stories as standalone interesting items if they need the validity of another tech site first?

Obscure trivia for British readers - the first customer to use the machine was Reg Varney from On the Buses.

Not in the UK it isn't. We're allowed to keep stuff recorded of the telly for 2 weeks..
