Anyone ever been on a fast connection, and had to wait for sonys ass slow website to load?? Its like being on dialup all over again. How can a company be so big, make so much money and not be able to make a website that dosent suck?

Now as more and more dependance on this great GPS system starts to move in place, is it time for the United States to start beefing up the redundancy in the system. When peoples lives are riding on it every day, all day, what happens when a solar flare storm starts taking these things out? Hot spare's in the sky and on the ground maybe?
You could think its kind of futle to just port linux to everything imaginable... but you can look at it as a kind of basic research not so much praticle use. You have to do the basic research... to get high quality products out the door.
Are these just schools selling out, for cash, more worried about the bottom line then their students. Or do some smaller schools actualy need this funding, but I could not imagin a school that would even think of holding the designation of a UNIVERSITY slumping to that level of using a service like that.
I guarantee you will not see top ranked schools ever use something as stupid as that.
I live on a college campus's multipul OC-3 Lines, connected though 10MB eithernet. I get scanned probed, traced, probably 40 times a day. If one community moved ahead of everyone and implemented this sort of speed, they would be super aggressivly attacked.

And its not like these credit cards are going to be regulated any different then normal credit cards.
Thats good, that you know that your employer can terminate your job at any time even after 15-20 years on the job. You can still be fired at whim, if you ever lie on a application.
