MetaBrowser grabs meta data for tv-shows and movies (cover art, banners, backgrounds, IMDB info, descriptions, actor images...) and MediaBrowser is a great add-on to Windows Media Center that replaces the (rubbish) built in movie library browser.
Both are free and work really well for me - they allow browsing by genre, starring actor, rating and more.
