    The info about PARKHILL is very interesting. That system was installed as a replacement for KG-13 and used for a very short time at our station. We had it for about a year before it was removed and replaced by something else. As noted on page 153 that system was not totally secure. The BLACK audio sounded like Donald Duck talking backward on acid. I suspect that someone found a way to break the code in near realtime. This was about 1982. No idea if it was fixed and rereleased for use.

    The loss of energy in a co-ax cable is well known. It is usually measured in dB per 100 feet. Bad cable at 2 GHz might be 100 dB per 100 feet. I leave it to you as an exercise to figure out the loss of two inches of cable.

    I don't think many people spend significant time sitting right next to a TV transmission tower. WHo know,
              maybe some of or cancer deaths may be related to EM spectrum energy. That would be a tough study to do with
              people.

    Watched a lot of TV Cubana when I worked the station at Key West. (They would broadcast uncut US movies on channel 6 at night) It was better than cable and free.

    I lived on the same block as the mogols Alhambra club in the 1970's. The cops wouldn't stop these guys from carrying a sawn-off shotgun down the middle of the sidewalk. In fact the cops would speed up and leave as fast as possible when ever they saw these guys. As long no one touched their bikes or women all was good.

    In SEMI fabs there is a lot of DOS/Win3.11/OS2 running critical process control equipment. Machines running WfW3.11 are making todays quad CPU chips.
