Anyone who's ever set up a Win2K box knows it asks you during install if you want to set up multiple users (in the users group by default), if not, the default user (for auto-logon) is *still* not in the Admin group.
I've seen this Diebold mess on the start page at Yahoo & MSN (Don't ask). It seemed like as soon as I refreshed, they were replaced with another news story.
And of course the Japaneese didn't kill *any* civilians during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Let me give you a hint; if they had a bomb, they would have dropped it on Pearl Harbor to *start* the war, not end it.
*note: I *do not* support my governments black op involvement in the affars of other countries (Pinochet et all), but Hiroshima & Nagasaki are very, very bad examples.
2 execs at my company have had Dell Inspirons for about 5 months. The screens on both of them are scratched *exactly* alike from the keyboard and/or track pad rubbing on them. Happens to every company.
A friend of mine used to extract & distill nicotine from snuff and/or cigarettes. He would tell me that one drop of the stuff would keep you wired for a day & that 3-4 could kill a grown man. Never tried it myself.
That's exactly what we do with our customers. I mean we still talk face to face, but any minor changes from the scope of work gets documented, or it doesn't get done.

WinNT doesn't default to the Admin either.
XP on the other hand does behave just as you say.

Didn't their "training" end up being a week long workshop or some crap like that?
Jaysyn
Yeah, but then you just add the website to the whitelist.
Jaysyn
...if we have to give control of the internet over to someone, I vote the EFF.
Jaysyn
I always wondered about that, since it's an American beer, shouldn't it be the "President of Beers"?
Jaysyn
A pinky wring would hurt quite a bit.
Jaysyn
Yeah, but these memos aren't for sale, the scientology docs were. If anything is was a Trade Secret, but that's out of the bag already.

That should have been blank (as in empty) as the user name & pass.
Jaysyn
Well I was on there earlier (before they took it down), I saw Samba packages, and a lot of stuff with SuSe's name in it.
Jaysyn
About an hour ago you could get on there with as the user name & pass. Someone must have noticed.
Jaysyn
You don't need it, leave it blank, really....
Jaysyn
Touche'!

Ever seen "12 Monkeys"? That's exactly what the antagonist did.
Jaysyn
That is fucking awesome, thanks for the link.

Well I don't know about you, but I always Genocide Master Mind Flayers & Arch Liches as soon as I can.
Jaysyn

See... it doesn't make sense...
Jaysyn
It's not so bad as long as you don't have to deal with the people.
Jaysyn
That's exactly what we do with our customers. I mean we still talk face to face, but any minor changes from the scope of work gets documented, or it doesn't get done.
Jaysyn
Nah, stay away from Tabs, they'll break your heart everytime.
Jaysyn
I got two of them, and they run pretty hot. Do not put them one atop the other, they'll end up putting off more heat than your video card.
Jaysyn
Ditto, I'm able to watch someone else play, but actually playing those games (Eternal Darkness too) scare the bejeebus out of me.
