I was browsing the FIN site on MS's server, and went to see where MS's partners are. Being from MI, I looked there. I noticed that WI is shaped REALLY funny, and MI seems to be missing a lot.
Didn't I hear that MS is getting into making encyclopedia's and edu materials? Will they as screwed up as that map? Is Encarta reliable anymore?
I've graduated now, but I used to go to Cornerstone University. Their admins are madly in love with M$ (even though they're not very good at adminning it) and have publicly stated that Linux will NEVER be on their network. So students who have it can't get any kind of connection except modem to an ISP if they choose to pay for it.
Cover Up was the show. It was about a woman who's husband was a spy and got killed, so she took over. Training is apparently optional. Their "cover" was that of a modeling agency, which allowed for lots of women in skimpy clothing carrying guns and beating up large stupid men. There was the token stud to escort all these women, and Jon Erik Hexum was him for half a season, before kicking off with the blanks.
Aviation as we know it today started as a hack. Two guys in a bike shop made something that could carry a man through the air.
Aviation continued to be one giant hack for many years after that. For a time, no two airplaces were alike, because they were all built by different guys, in their barns.
In Charles Lindberg's autobiography "We", he mentions how he used to fly around the US, and one day in the fall crashed in a farmers field, and broke his prop. He spent the winter living with that farmer, and bought a beam from his barn and carved another prop with his jack knife, and flew away in the spring. *THAT* is a hack.
I would imagine there can be more than one. :)

I'm glad I don't go there anymore.
How is this different from the "free" for the rest of the world?

Heya, if we spread the rumor that removing JS and ActiveX will make sites more secure, maybe it'll just go away. Yeah, lets.
Sure you do. I have, and it was tasty.
Besides, Chips and Dips is a far older tradition.
We can hope. What right do I have to say it? I work on it every single DAY.
