You can also purchase updates for RH 7.2-9.0 from Progeny. We've been using them on our old RH 7.3 servers since the beginning of the year and have had no problems.
If one is supposed to be doing a firewall test then a *proper* port scanning utility such as the excellent nmap should be used, rather than a tool on the website of a known netkook.
On the contrary, I think they've thought about it, realised the public won't stand for being made to carry ID all the time, and so are working us up to it more gently.
Does this mean that if a cop stops you on the street you must either be able to produce a valid ID card or take a trip to the police station so that your identity can be confirmed?
According to Mr. Blunkett on Breakfast with Frost this morning, the proposal is they they will be as with driving licenses - you don't have to carry them all the time, but you can be given a 'producer' and have to report with valid ID to a police station within 7 days.
Of course, just because that's the initial proposal it doesn't mean that they won't change the rules to enforce carrying the cards at all times once we're used to them..
The BitTorrent protocol is only really suitable for files larger than a few megs in size. It's not a good fit for web pages that are a few hundred k at most.
Oh? RedHat doesn't. Debian doesn't. Mandrake might, being French and all might give legal cover. But if SUSE does now they won't anymore after being sucked into Novell.
apt-get install msttcorefonts
It's in the 'non-free' section of Debian but it's there nonetheless.

2 meg in one second is even nicer.. I'm *really* going to miss mirror.ac.uk. When I was at uni and directly connected to SuperJaNET the speeds were seriously amazing (8M/sec or so).
Exactly. Not only for the reasons you give, but my initial reaction was to wonder if the type of parents given to plonking their very young offspring in front of a TV were perhaps also treating their children differently in other regards compared with those who were not. Also, would similar results have be obtained if the children were placed in a room of colourful posters for the same amount of time?
This study is interesting, but it doesn't really tell us anything common sense doesn't already - we need to give children attention.
Unfortunately it would seem that whilst you have obviously been furnished with a good understanding of the term 'African-American' you obviously have zero understanding of the term 'humour'.
Realistically though, this move would seem to be targetted at stopping existing Sun customers from migrating to Linux rather than tempting RedHat customers away. As Sun's customerbase is geared more towards the higher end of the market I suspect they are less likely to be swayed by arguments about openness.
Having said this, it's not like Sun doesn't use openness when it suits them - Gnome (Sun Java Desktop) being a good example.
Coming from East London and now living in Manchester (Eccles, shithole that it is) I'd say Moss Side and Tottenham were pretty much as bad as each other.
Longsight is much, much worse tho - worse than Brixton even.
Exactly, and you type on the 'typewriter' and you can see what your typing on the 'TV'.
I don't know why everyone thinks these computer thingies are so hard!
You're dealing with the problem too high up

IMO (as someone who works on clustered systems for a living) you're looking at this from the wrong point of view. A clustered shell is useful only if the system it is running on top of is inherently unstable.
The real benefit is in having a system which is sufficiently distributed that any program running on top of it can continue to do so despite any sort of underlying failure.
I used to have a Motorola Surfboard 4100 and I can confirm that this does work - it was quite happy to get my specially crafted file from my PC via ethernet.
I must say I always wondered why the device wasn't made in the way you describe though..
This is why 2.6.3 was released, as discussed in this slashdot story from the 18th of Feb. The date on the linked article is March 1 - this is a second document on the same vulnerability that gives more details. It was not released at the time to give people a chance to patch.
I don't think this is exactly a bright idea. Nintendo has *always* focused on making a gaming device and not a multi-use media centre; I have a hard time believing that the Big N is going to deviate from 25-odd years of success *now*.
Actually, Nintendo started out as a playing card company. No doubt when they started making gaming devices there were plenty of people saying 'Nintendo has *always* focused on making playing cards; I have a hard time believing that the Big N is going to deviate from 75 years of success *now*'.
If Nintendo want to survive they have to capture a sufficiently large market rather than staying with a niche. By selling the device as a portable movie player as well as a games device they are opening up potential new markets, as well as providing a stronger reason for people to buy the new DS when they already have a GBA.
Of course, whether Nintendo actually will offer this functionality remains to be seen, but it would seem to be something that could be done at little or no extra cost, and bring many potential extra returns.
I'd stay well clear..

Remember the time he 'invented' TCP SYNcookies six years after they were actually created?. To be fair to him, his SYNcookies proposal wasn't the same as what had already been suggested - his had some pretty major omissions that made it unworkable.
Or the time he predicted the end of the Internet with the introduction of raw sockets into Windows XP, or earlier because of Code Red?

Now see that the Amazon review is written by one 'Josh Malone'.
Prince of Persia Sands of Time is pretty much the Galleon was going to be, which leaves Galleon itself rather out in the cold..
IIRC Doom 2 was 5 floppies, Doom was 'just' 3.

In a similar vein Alien Breed would make an excellent GBA conversion.
Also, how about Sensible's classic 'Mega-lo-Mania'? One of the original 'god' games, and to be honest probably my favourite of all time...
