I think the point about using PC here is that they can make negative comments about Windows - without actually saying Windows. They don't have to sully themselves by directly disparaging Microsoft.
Point out that a Mac is a Personal Computer if you want (it is true & I agree with you). But Joe 6-pack knows that a Mac is not a PC - a Mac is Mac and a PC is Windows. In fact he may not even know what PC stands for...
Offtopic as hell- I know! but in reply to your sig - what are the chances that that actually happened? That Major Brian Reed was the one that found Saddam Hussein in the dead of the night over tired as many soldiers are and that he was quick enough to make that smart ass remark to Saddam? Not to mention the wildly unreported matter that it was purportedly the SAS or some other brit corps who actually found Saddam. Cynically I think this is a bit of Pro-Bush propaganda that's getting way more lip service than it deserves.
From the article - "many countries which will not have access to these weapons will produce nuclear weapons as a deterrent"
Great I dont suppose that the Gov't figured this new weapon and the reasearch into it would spark other nations to adopt nuclear weapons as a recourse to these weapons.
I agree Apple's stock is undervalued but come on now...
12 months ago Red Hat was pushing $120 now it's around 9 (7.5% its Jan 2000 value)
12 months ago Microsoft was nearly $120 now it's around 30 (25% of its Jan 2000 value)
12 months ago apple was at $50 now its aound $17 (35% its Jan 2000 value)
Who's stock is in the tank again? There are a few that are deeper -- If you had bought stock everytime people predicted Apple's demise you'd be a very rich man.
As for the processors they've released their 533, 667, and 733 -- as well the 533 is available in a MP config.
I once spoke to a derivatives trader. - As a side note -- derivatives are tradeable securities that are synthesized by combining other also "tradeable" securities. As you can imagine the market forces that drive the price of these tools are extremely complex. Anyway, this derivatives trader told me that they use coloured 3D models to model how any particular derivative is doing... like If it looks like a donut - its a sell but if its long and fat like a (Canadian) football its a strong buy... Anyway this would be a kinda cool application for this display. Plus if it makes derivatives trading easier you could stick the trading companies for a huge amount of cash!!!

I know very little about the physics of lasers but wouldn't opposing troops just need a really shiny mirror to reflect the laser back at the rifle?
Oh no next you'll say you wont ever buy it because the remote they've got in the works is only a one button remote.
