I also used to do directv and um they are right about the dog sneezing, when it comes to directv. As far as the DISH Network SAT I don't even think the four horsemen of the appocylypse could take it down, and I for one think they tried. I had a storm a few months ago that produced hail, lightning, rain, snow* No I'm not kidding. Any way it still tracked the SAT signal.
Who's to say what we find to be compleatly moral, and right today won't be outlawed tomorow. In the US anyone can drink, but ever heard of prohabition? Sometimes america outlaws some of the wierdest things. We pride ourselves on freadom of speach and freadom of religeon. The government anymore seems to want to take our guns, speach, and fredome from us all. I know what it is like to not be able to own a firearm(even to hunt with). I know what it's like to be told you can't worship that way because I don't like it. I know what it is like to have your voice quelled. Carnivore is about power in the government, not about criminals. It's the same as having a 24 Hour a day tap on your line that they can listen in to your conversations any time they want. Or better yet a monitoring station that Listens to your house 24 hours a day (Some of us have our house pluged into the net 24 hours a day, with web cams, et al). Incidently who's to say that some corupt FBI official doesn't use the information to blackmail you, not just about criminal offences, but also about your marriage. If you write your online "friend" and tell them that you had fun "playing with them" and it gets intersepted by your spouce.... Just think about it.
What if you need a specific driver, program, windows setup? My father, who is no computer person at all, has a pacard hell and when it called for the win95 install disk he inserted it and it installed allright. Reformated his HD and did a clean wipe of the whole system.
Perhaps not all of us are pedo/terrorist... perhaps some of us just don't like anyone reading our mail but those who we wrote to. Also whoe's to say that a corupt agent getting ahold of our information that we email one another, hey the IRS canned a few of their people for breaches of power and selling off taxreturn information, and give/sell/blackmail etc.... there are manny manny things that I can think of
