As a Christian myself I don't see this as proof of a young earth.
C-14 has just been shown to still be a theory. So until C-14 is a fact there is no obligation on my part to accept anything based on C-14 is a fact.
And how many of the other dating proceedures are also based on theories?
I don't believe science and religion to be either or. It's where they contradict that one must be chosen over the other. What choice you make is your decision.
