I've spoken with Mr Laine concerning Lift Port systems. From what he told me, he is not leaving High Lift. Lift port was simply created for some sort of capital creation reason.
So, as far as I know, Michael Laine has not left the Highlift...
Sorry Chris, but as a current fourth year medical student I can honestly say you are quite wrong. The majority of American medical schools currently have your first two years of school as didactic crap (lectures, small groups,...) and the last two years are the clinical years.
During the third year, we are exposed to all the specialties that encompass medicine. During that third year, I removed an appendix, placed a catheter into a patient's brain, and a ton of other things more mundane. All of this occurs with supervision.
The fourth year is much more focused upon the specialty you are interested in pursuing. For me, I have spent two months as an acting surgical intern. This basically means that I function as an intern, with the only caveat being that I have to have an MD cosign my orders.
Jose opposed the McDonald's for a simple economic reason. The McDonald's refused to use the, correct me if I am wrong, goat cheese that he and other local farmers produce. McDonald's intended on using their standard cheese, which infuriated Jose and company, hence the trashing of the McD's. Now, this thing has blown up into a massive individual vs. corporation conflict and everyone is siding with Jose. This seems odd to me, since Jose's reason for trashing the McD's was a purely capitalistic reason: They won't use my product, so I am pissed and I want to punish them for this. Tom
