  1. Re:Money, and all things like it on Farscape Fans Produce Commercial · · Score: 1

I think the main focus of the ads is not to get to network executives but rather to get more media attention for "the cause". You can bet that there will be "Wow, they're willing to spend all that money!" stories written all over the country and those stories will get some level of attention from the networks AND the advertisers.

  2. Re:Great - or not on iSync Beta Released · · Score: 1

I'm having the same issue with both of the iCal calendars that I created - one at work and one on my laptop. (The ones I've downloaded from Apple and other sites are fine.) I find that I am able to delete duplicate TODOs but I am unable to delete either the original or the duplicate appointment. I get a message saying that I don't have authority to delete items on a calendar that I've subscribed to, but I'm trying to clean up the work calendar on the work computer and the home calendar on the laptop. On the other hand, I've had no problem with syncing the Address Book.

I've been using iCal since it came out in late August and I have to say that iCal should have been classified as a beta version. iSync, despite it's current limitations, has worked fine so far. I can't say the same for iCal.

A word of warning - there's an option to backup data before you sync. Practice safe beta - use it.

True. But if I had heard "What A Wonderful World" last Wednesday it would have depressed me so much I probably would have jumped under a bus. It's not just a question of taste or censorship, it's also a question of our current level of emotional sensitivity.

It's like that John Cusak movie, "Better Off Dead". At one point Blane's girlfriend has just dumped him for a ski jock and no matter what station he turns to on his car radio, some sappy breakup song is playing. He eventually gets so depressed that he yanks the stereo out of the dashboard with his bare hand and throws it out the window. I think Clear Radio is trying to prevent that kind of thing.
