In my experience with UPS if you do not write fragile on the box and it is damaged when you try and file a claim they say you can't because the box was not properly marked. Thus creating a catch 22.
2) Don't write "fragile" "sensitive" etc. on the box. This will only serve as a beacon for some disgruntled employee to take out his frustrations on.
