I think you've got your analogy backwards and upside-down. The correct question would be, "Would you still trust the casino chips?"
I dont think you understand this analogy. In this analogy the dollars represent bitcoins and the chips represent mt gox's internal units. They represent bitcoins much like the casino chips represent dollars, but as we learned were not backed with actual bitcoins.
CDMA2000 is on its way out even vzw and sprint are moving to gsm with LTE. At this point you can only do data and only in areas with lte service but eventually lte service will provide voice and will be pretty ubiquitous.
What in the world are you smoking, and why aren't you sharing? Also, do you understand that the Nexus phones are sold without profit, and even support costs built in? Google themselves have said that multiple times. It's the cost of hardware, and that is it. Have a think about it. Why would someone essentially do what an a "dump" of the Nexus hardware?
Interestingly enough the nexus phones aren't sold without profit, in fact the nexus 4 has ~$150 profit. They just aren't sold at ridiculous levels of profit... Note that price is based on a tear down and the price of components.
interestingly enough there is a way to target 1.5 yet use 4.2 features if they are available, you just fall back to lacking functionality on devices without those features.
I wish I had internet access that didn't have inbound port blocking, no caps and 1gigabit speed all for $70 a month. Instead I have internet access where I'm not even allowed to vpn in to work, tons of port blocking inbound and outbound, 300gb a month cap and only 50mbit speed down with 10mbit speed up, all for $70 a month. Mind you my isps restrictions on servers isn't just TOS but actual port blocking, port 25 outbound is blocked, port 53 inbound is filtered, port 80 inbound is filtered plus god knows what else.
Arent the european networks avoiding LTE at the moment? so it should be Compared to European vendors... AT&T - Expensive. Unreliable. Verizon - Expensive. Unreliable. TMobile - Expensive. Unreliable. Sprint - Expensive. Unreliable.
So the price points samsung announces come from the carriers? Your proof isn't proof, all it is is proof that the manufacturers have a MSRP and not a monopolistic contract demanding the carrier set the price. MSRP is just a suggested retail price.
Ah you're right and it looks like the providers have decided on charges like $35, must be some hella cheap smartphones. Further they must specify that fee in the contract beforehand so its not like they're going to be able to promise you $35 then jack up the fee later, they have to tell you how much it will be then stick to it.
When calculating the early cancellation fee, the value of the device subsidy is the retail price of the device minus the amount that the customer paid for the device when the contract was agreed to; and the retail price of the device is the lesser of the manufacturer’s suggested retail price or the price set for the device when it is purchased from the service provider without a contract.
If the carrier sets the price higher than apples then apples price takes effect, its whoever is lowest.
Bell, Telus and Rogers announced a new unlock policy. You now have the option to unlock your smartphone, provided you pay the price of the phone.
I don't believe the code allows for them to charge for unlocks so nope unlock in 3 months voila.
Bell, Telus and Rogers announced that you can now get the iPhone 5S and the Galaxy S5 for $300 on two years, or $10000 outright. That's a subsidy of $9700. You have the option to cancel anytime, provided that you refund Bell, Telus or Rogers that $9700 subsidy they were so kind to give you in the first place.
I'm pretty sure its apple that sets the unsubsidized price, you know since they're the ones that make the phone and set the actual price they sll it at.
Bell, Telus and Rogers announced new roaming rates of $100/bit. Use 1 bit of data and reach the cap. Service is disabled once you reach the cap. Bonus: 50% discount on national roaming.
That kind of directly goes against the mandate so seems they'd get in trouble for that.
10GBASE-T, or IEEE 802.3an-2006, is a standard released in 2006 to provide 10 Gbit/s connections over unshielded or shielded twisted pair cables, over distances up to 100 metres (330 ft).[25] Category 6a is required to reach the full distance of 100 metres (330 ft) and category 6 will reach a distance of 55 metres (180 ft).
ok ok so for legacy installations you might only reach 180ft.
We don't have the keys to the bootloader and samsung is likely to patch it on phones sold in the future. Further this unlock doesn't allow us to load the same recoveries/roms/kernels other galaxy s4 devices have, the kernels and recoveries have to be modified to exploit this attack.
Unfortunately this is not a bootloader unlock, it allows you to load unsigned kernels and recovery images but the bootloader must be exploited each time you install a new image. Further it's easily fixed and the next OTA from at&t/vzw is expected to patch it.
Credit cards are typically (although not always) unsecured. He said cell phones dont show up on your credit because they're unsecured debt, so by that logic if I don't pay my credit card bill it won't show up on my credit report either as my credit card is unsecured debt.
So you're going to use your phone as a remote controller (remember this device only streams media off of google play nothing local and it has no user interface so you need another android tablet to do this) to choose songs and then rather than just using your phone to play the media you play it through the Nexus Q but use bluetooth so you're stuck in one room and can't move around...

What will it run on without fuel? Turning the key off will kill the fuel pump.
The Galaxy Nexus was the last Samsung Nexus device and it is already over a year out of date.
Its closer to two years out of data and the Nexus 10 is the latest Samsung Nexus
Traffic accidents make up ~32,000 deaths per year, that means they don't make that list (Albeit barely)
CDMA2000 is on its way out even vzw and sprint are moving to gsm with LTE. At this point you can only do data and only in areas with lte service but eventually lte service will provide voice and will be pretty ubiquitous.
Just thought I'd link to a tutorial on having fallbacks http://android-developers.blogspot.com/2010/07/how-to-have-your-cupcake-and-eat-it-too.html I don't think adding permissions not in v1.5 are an issue. Android 1.5 would just ignore them while newer versions with support for them would properly utilize them.
Samsung S4, unlocked price: $699..
Strangely enough it's actually $649 you seem to have found a vendor on amazon who is inflating the price... (or perhaps thats a 32gb model?)
https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=samsung_galaxy_s4&feature=device-featured
the htc one is a mere $599 for their 32 gb model....

The point is its still twisted copper, twisted copper isnt going the way of the dodo
Don't you mean 330 ft runs?

So you're saying a credit card doesn't go on your credit report if you fail to pay it?

Why would you stream music over bluetooth when the Nexus Q was designed with an amplifier built in intended to be hooked up to your speakers...
