  1. A cool demo on Adobe Releases Flex 2.0 Beta · · Score: 2, Informative

This Harley Davidson customizer is a cool example of something built using Flex (though granted, its not built using Flex 2.0).

  2. OEone's HomeBase Service Does This! on .Mac Alternatives? · · Score: 0, Redundant

OEone's HomeBase service ( http://homebase.oeone.net/ [oeone.net] ) launched just a few days ago. Its a service which provides IMAP based email, LDAP based contacts, automatic generation of Photo web pages, online thumbnailed bookmarks (which you have to see to believe) and more. Not only that, but it blows .Mac away in that you can view, edit, delete and add items like calendar events, contacts, email messages, bookmarks and files from anywhere.
A free 60 day trial of HomeBase is available, and paid accounts providing 100 MB of space are only US$35.95 a year.

  3. Re:Calender? on Run For Cover; It's Mozilla 1.4 Alpha · · Score: 2, Informative

The Calendar is not part of the default build, but can be installed from http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/ It should work fine in 1.4 alpha.
The project has recently implemented a multi week view, and now has the ability to print calendars as well. There's lots of great work being done on it, by students at the University of Charleston (improved week views, date pickers and more) and at Penn State (integration with calendar server).

  6. Re:Why? on Internet Computer from OEone · · Score: 2, Informative

They don't use a web browser for their main interface... They use Mozilla. And if you think that Mozilla is just a web browser, then you better wake up and smell the coffee. Mozilla is more of a development platform than a web browser. You can build really cool stuff in XUL, JS, CSS and XPCOM, as OEone has shown.

  7. Re:Analysis on Internet Computer from OEone · · Score: 3, Informative

The next version of the software, due out in a few weeks, is based on Mozilla 0.9.5. 0.9.3 isn't that bad, but 0.9.5 is a lot better.

  8. Re:Hello Apple Legal...... on Internet Computer from OEone · · Score: 3, Informative

Future Power are the ones who build the machine and the hardware, not OEone. Future Power has already settled their lawsuit with Apple. (Article Here) The main difference in the two machines is that the OEone unit has a 17" monitor, as opposed to the iMac's 15".
