    Because you said so...? People have been using full disk encryption on normal drives for a very long time now without too much complains for most workloads. Something designed specifically for full disk encryption should have less of an impact.

    The OpenBSD group does a number of things. LibreSSL is one of them. They ask for donations to the general fund. If you like, you donate. If you don't, don't donate. OpenBSD runs a lean organization. Everything they do is open sourced and standards driven. And they make it _portable_ correctly.

    If you have an axe to grind against them for forking a piece of shit code, take it and shove it.

    Because emulators do not properly emulate some issues. Keep in mind, most of the time the host is... x86, but the end point being emulated is ARM.

    Bullshit. I was running up through 10.4 or 10.5 on a PowerMac G4 450mhz. It was more responsive (I didn't say faster) and usable than the dual 1.4Ghz Pentium 3 I had.

    Not if your OS is tied intimately to your filesystem. Linux might not, because a large number of things are abstracted out, but FreeBSD depends on its file system, Solaris took a very long time/effort before it could boot off ZFS. Forget about moving Windows off NTFS. Apple actually did some work on putting it onto ZFS, maybe they will continue.

    Testing 40,000 cows is a drop in the bucket. UK tests *EVERY SINGLE COW*.

    The symptoms manifests in cows after about 7 years, so under Bush, they changed the requirement that meat cows be slaughtered before 3, so no one can even spot a cow that is carrying it.

    What kind of nonsense are you spouting? Every processor out there with the exception of that one open sourced one, *IS* proprietary! *YOU* go try and make an x86 and see if Intel sues the pants off you.

    You also don't understand what scalability and all the other big words mean. You don't even know that your Intel processor is now effectively a RISC core with a CISC layer of microcode on top.

    And who the hell cares if you can run 8bit or 16 mode shit? Those were all design inefficiencies and now you are fucking bragging about it? What an idiot.
