Ok.IANAL but here's my two cents.Since domain names aren't property under current law shouldn't the real question be whether fraud was committed instead of stealing. From what I know about the case it would seem that some sort of "alleged" fraud occured when the domain was transferred. And if fraud was proven then shouldn't NetSol transfer the domain back to the original owner.I dunno.I'm prolly wrong but just what I was thinking.
ahh..Tempest..I think I'm gettin a woody..
But anyway I use to play it alot and I don't think I ever saw the two-game minimum either. But that reminds me of the greatest feature that Tempest had.Now I can't remember the "exact" sequence but if you got to a score in a range like 160 to 180 thousand then got your score to end in an odd number??or something like that..then died with that score you would then see the credits inflate to an incredible 80 free games and you could start at any level. The only thing that comes close was the realization that at our local arcade the tokens they used could be counterfieted by smashing on nickels with a hammer until they were flattened out a bit.My brother and I spent many an afternoon hammering nickels in our garage. That trick only worked on Atari games but they had the best shit anyway...oh the memories
And Taco should not use his story posting priviledge to sell crap. What a dumbass..posting priviledge??He created this fuckin' site.If you don't like it create your own and post anything you fuckin' want.Dumb people really piss me off.
This won't work well unless there are some restrictions on who can use the new TLD's.Right now if you do a search for a domain name from Network Solutions home page even if the domain name is taken they will give you "suggestions" as to whats available..If you search for anything.com you will get a list saying eanything.com,aboutanything.com,anythingonline.com ,anythingcentral.com are available..mo' money. Also is it just me or did it used to when you ran a whois you got a little dislclaimer saying that you couldn't use the information in a nasty manner(I forget how they worded it) but that seems to be gone now.And within the last coupla months I've gotten one snail mail from e-nic and another email from someone registering.tt domains trying to solicit my business.I thought it was illegal to mine the Netsol whois database for information but I guess that's changed.
This is nothing new from what I can remember dealing with Network Solutions over the past couple of years. Now I don't want to defend NetSol...they suck I know. But from as long as I can remember in dealing with Domain registration in can be 3-5 months..maybe a little longer before they delete an "expired" domain from their database.I could never figure out exactly what their cycle was...it didn't seem to be the same all the time. But in all the cases I've dealt with this was a good thing..the people that owned the domains had forgot to reregister but their domains still functioned after the expiration and if they caught it before it was purged from the database they could go ahead and pay up.So while NetSol are a bunch of greedy bastards they have been doing this for a while and I don't see anything really sinister about it.It does suck if your wanting one that has expired but is not available yet but it is good for the current owner of the domain.
Correct!Lincoln was born in a log cabin in Barcelona and Jefferson Davis was heir to the Portugese throne.I always really thought it should have properly been called the "Spanish-Portugese Civil War" but history seems to forget the Portugese influence as happens so often.
i doubt it.like everyone else has said netpliance is not a hardware company and were losing tons of money selling at $99.although i can't see anyone paying $399 for something like this....and are you sure about earthlink having problems for free computer deals...msn yes, compuserve yes,but i never remember earthlink being involved in any of these deals but i might've missed it.
What happens when these computers start applying for patents for their robots??
I'm sorry..it's late and i'm drunk..
