It might be equal, although I don't believe so at the moment, but your numbers for January and February may be messed up. January =1 , February=4 (BTW: A german explanation can be found at http://www.math.uni-bonn.de/people/gw/wochentag.ht ml)

And what about telling Joe that www.myhomepage.de is my homepage ? - Would this information be sufficient to find my homepage ??
The idea of building his own namespace for addressing convenience (just like bookmarks) sounds good, but doesn't replace the purpose of a central domain name service.

  3. again the powerlifetime on Sony Clie Officially For Sale (In English) · · Score: 1

They mention something like 15 days usage and 3 hours with mp3 and screen on. Well that is pretty low. (I do know that it is still well done in terms of engineering.) I just wonder what happenes to my data if the power is out after 15 days. A friend changed back from using rechargables in his palm, because every time he batteries were empty and he didn't switch on for 3 days he lost his installation (and data.) I hope Sony did something about that.

  6. New Security features - How to use ? on New Kernel Security Features In 2.4 Explained · · Score: 2

If I read about these new features I am remembered on the time I found out about Linux and the different group permissions. I was astonished and tried to set up the highly securest system possible.

Then came the time I started to more use application (then setting up my OS) and the problem that I had to decide to use the unclean written application in a unsecure manner (as root) or not to have the desired feature.

What I need is a system like Janus with a management frontend, which does not require me to spent 4 hours of trying, which are the least privileges possible. Or maybe a standard all programmers keep, so that I know what rights my application needs before downloading it.

  8. My opinion about the article (german version) on Mueller-Maguhn On Internet Governance · · Score: 1

It is a well formulated and slightly funny piece of work. As stated it was more an answere of a request for a comment then a "I tell you what I want". The idea of creating a toplevel domain for brands, where lawyers can sue each other instead of suing privat person "Mr. Stern", which happens to have his domain secured before the well known magazine did it... About blowing up the prisons: Did you know that there was a kind of protest by blowing up a new build german prison once ? No injuries or casulties, just some years work gone away... Lastly, did you find the remark about the name space (larger space for less geographic equivalent). I don t know if it got around in the english version - these could show he really thought before "boasting" what he wants. Joerg (..finally ICANN protocols could become interesting..)
