    Whats the joke here ? considering the per capita income in the state of Karnataka ( Bangalore is the capital city of Karnataka ) is 13,000$. A 50% increase above the per capita should definitely make the Indians happy in Bangalore.

    I think those numbers might be in Indian Rupees. There are about 45 Rupees to the dollar.

    Um, since you need root access to run a packet sniffer like Ethereal, presumably you are the network administrator. If not, then why do you have privileges you don't need?

    Problem with this idea is that in the UK at least, the government sells wireless network licences to the highest bidder.

    You'd probably need to have a few hundred million GBP spare if you wanted to play.

    What would be really cool would be to have CORBA client bindings for PHP. Then you could use PHP for the presentation layer only and make your application accessible from as many languages/platforms as possible. PHP has never really struck me as a great language for application development, just for server-side web page scripting.

    I guess the ORB to use would be ORBit.
