hell ya man, Harry Browne shoulda won... people dont realize that Gush and Bore are the same person, they both want bigger government even if they claim otherwise, neither has in the past done anything to reduce government, at least in a dramatic way. Browne is the only one who proposes to give freedom and liberty back to the people.. the founding fathers of this country were true libertarians and anybody who believes in the constitution should be as well

  2. manual programmable universal remote on The Do-It-All Remote? · · Score: 1

I have a universal remote that I got several years ago, it was one of the first "universal" ones on the market, and it has a little eye on the back of the remote. You set the TV/VCR/etc remote behind it, press program, press the button you want on the original remote, then press the button where you want it to be set to and its all set... the universal remote has like 6 modes so you can use 6 or so devices, and it has like tons of buttons, most are labeled but it has lots of unlabeled ones too and a place to write something for them.. and it'll work with any remote, doesnt matter what kind or anything, it captures all signals.. its really neat, and we only spent like $40 I think, maybe less, it was pretty cheap and its awesome, still works... but it uses like 8 AA batteries and they dont last as long because it also has a huge LCD display that can be illuminated... I dunno if they still sell 'em, I havent seen any like it since, but its nice :)

ok.. if its so easy.. why do spammers still exist after a few days? I dont mean spammers in general, but I mean if one person spammed, why are they still online after a few days if its so easy and guaranteed to get rid of them right away? many porn sites that spam still remain to be online and nobody has gotten rid of them yet, why?

and also, isnt the only way to completely blackhole a backbone provider, to contact EVERYBODY on the internet who provides links and tell them to ignore that person/site? cuz if say one of AGIS's links blocks them, couldnt they just put up another T-x or OC-xx to another provider that doesnt have them blocked? theres unlimited number of connections to the internet, you cant convince everybody in the world to refuse connections from one person, can you?

yeah I guess you're right.. I'm not considering spamming, I'm just trying to view this from all directions.. however, if I have a good standing relationship with my provider and he with his provider, and me with his provider, which has a direct connection to a major backbone, nobody could stop me right? like say my best friend works for splitrock.. nobody would risk cutting off a whole backbone for a simple spammer so it wouldnt be pushed too far if my ISP ignores the requests. I'm just saying this because I've noticed alot of spammers that I've been spammed with have their own mail server and had a direct connection to a major backbone provider and its possible they had inside connections that would prevent them from getting disconnected. right?

what about spammers who run their own ISP and their own mail server? theres still no way to stop that is there? I host my own server and if I were to send spam using my ISP's mail server, they'd cancel my account, but if I use my own mail server, nobody (including my ISP) could stop me.

heh, no wonder your name is foolishj, cuz you gotta be crazy if you think it should be that expensive. my friends and I are starting up a site and I'm hosting it myself, its just a hobby now, but someday we hope to turn it into a fulltime moneymaker, but if not, we'll have still had fun and learned alot. there would be no way I could do it if a domain cost $1000/ea.

I'm not against paying upfront, however I think there should be a 30 day grace period, after that they shut it down, rather than the 120 days. and that goes for registering names in bulk or one at a time.. and if the same person registers a domain twice in a row without paying for it, they ban that person from registering that domain again. I think that would prevent people from registering domains without paying for them. that will prevent large companies from doing it also, however if they do register and pay for a domain, whatever the name, and they actually use it for something rather than just to hold the name, they should be entitled to it because it is an international medium.

I think one thing ICANN can do is for those people/companies who register names and put a "email blah@blah.com if you'd like to buy this domain" type situations, ICANN should be allowed to shut those sites down and only allow authorized companies to be registrars/domain resellers..

If ICANN, being an international organization, put all these rules into place, I think it would stop people from grabbing names without paying and/or buying names just to resell them to the person/company who should have them to make money.

    just my opinions :)
