I was at the dinner where the chance to throw the balls to dunk Linux were being auctioned. The deal was that if the bid went over $2500 Linus would wear speedos.
The bid went even higher very quickly to make sure Rusty *wouldn't** wear a gstring :-)

I lost my palm vx in a taxi in Sydney a few months ago. Within a few hours I was scoping out what to get next (hated the fact I'd lost it, along with my Visa, but at the same time, good excuse for to get something new and shiney).

Decided on the m515, after tossing up between an ipaq (used to have one, sold it) and a sony clie.

I think it was a couple of days before the order went through (cause I lost my visa dammit!) but I really missed it when it wasn't there.

Other intesting thing was my girlfriend decided to get one at the same time.

I use mine all the time, for a bunch of different things. The calander is great, far better than paperbased system because it can do more than 1yr. No way I'm forgetting when linux.conf.au is... That's right. January 2003. My PDA tells me I'm there (sorry, had to put in the plug for it). But seriously, it was nice putting in all the details 6 months in advance in the new year. Apart from that, copious amounts of note taking, usually the one or two line type, or the sort of thing I'd scribble down on the nearest piece of scrap paper then lose.
Also got a neat little program to record all my bike rides to work (and around the place)... Nice to see the monthly average going up, and the fact my last ride was a PB. Sure, I could do that on my laptop, but I just wouldn't bother. PDA is there, i write it in, and go do something else.

I mentioned before that my GF got one at the same time as me. She hardly uses hers at the moment, except for playing small games. My guess is this will change to having a LOT more use in the near future... We'll see.
