I just can't believe a Russian military officer would just come out and say that they're milking Snowden. I don't doubt they are; just that Russia would want to brag about it.
I'm all for regulation of mass surveillance. After the Snowden incident I started using a password manager and made sure my pgp key was up to snuff. But I wonder how many other more important secrets he had to tell the Russians to get amnesty, how many ships sank because of his lose lips.
The difficulty goes up exponentially with pool size. How long does this guy plan to keep buying up the world's computing resources? Cause he'll have to pretty quick to keep his 10% goal.
Likely. Either they already owned a company, and got the government to use it; or, learning that the government will use it, they bought into the company.
But then if there is no more coal, the environmentalists won't be able to blog on the internet about coal's evils, as it will be no longer powering their city and therefore their laptops.
I think it's cool that the company didn't wine about their major cash cow going away. Instead, they went with the flow and are still in business. I wish other tech companies would do that too.
If something like this happened to me, I would seriously consider moving to a different nation which takes privacy laws more seriously. Or one which is less racist.
