Excecpt the people we captured were not soldiers nor were they in uniform. Hence the term POW does not apply. A more appropriate classification would be captured spy.

  3. A chicken in every pot on Belgium: A Computer in Every Home · · Score: 1

Who is going to pay for all these computers? And why does everyone need a computer? It is like saying "Every household must have a TV." Maybe half the people need a computer but I'm guessing that those people the need a computer can go buy their own, instead of forcing their neighbors to buy them one (i.e. Taxes).

Sure we'll come to your country. Except all of us have guns. You all have allowed your govt. to disarm you. We won't be comming to be refugees but to take over your pussy country.

"i don't really care if people know who i am. i am not a criminal!"

Are you sure. The US code takes up over 14 ft of shelf space. Are you absolutly positive you are not breaking any law at any time. For example if you happen to drive a diesel car and you are comming home from the garden shop with a load of fertilizer...guess what you are in possesion of bomb making materials. So don't be too sure you are not breaking any laws.

  6. I can't seem to on Global Warming: Do You Believe? · · Score: 1

beleive that these "scientists" can predict climate changes over 100's of years when they can't even accuratly predict what the weather is going to be next week. Also if you go back about 30 years, these same "scientists" were predicting an ice age in the next 100 years. So what is it, is the earth heating up or cooling down, or neither and the govt jerks just need a new hobgoblin to scare the sheep.

  7. Constitution on Scientology Critic Flees U.S. Over Usenet Posts, Pickets · · Score: 5

The constitution says nothing about individuals interfering with religion. It only says the government may not. But since most people don't have the first clue as to what the constitution actually says it is not suprising that this verdict came down the way it did. Today, free speech covers everything except what is deemed "politically incorrect", and this guys speech was apperently deemed "hateful". I say keep saying what you want. They can't throw everyone in jail.

  8. Re:Information and Ideas are Not Property on Information Wants to Suck · · Score: 2

So you propose that everyone gets income regardless of what they contribute, and no one can profit from their contributions regardless of how much those contributions benifit the rest of society? Good luck getting anyone to innovate further. Without an incentive very few people will strive to do anything.
