99.9% of calls to these numbers are fraud. Ireland isn't stunting its telephone infrastructure in any meaningful way.
Think of this as cutting off an entire netblock for spamming. Either the guys on the other side do something about it, or their phones just stop ringing.
You're mistaken, I'm afraid: if the system had had a VVAT, it would probably have more acceptable to the commission, but probably not entirely so since end-to-end testing was not performed.
If those spare cycles are on a Windows machine (maybe you're not using it anymore!) you could always try www.uniteddevices.com, at http://members.ud.com/projects/cancer/index.htm, and help find a cure for cancer.
If this continues, it'll be great. As a worker in a pretty stable dot com (actually, the online arm of a media group) it'll be nice, next year, to be able to come home to my wife and for her not to ask "are we paper millionares yet?".
She'll be asking if I still have a job, though.:)
It's probably better for everyone in the high-tech economy if the heat went; big bucks being thrown at stupid ideas only obscure the real gains to be made.
Hmmn, this fits with someone telling me that in countries with a tradition of a famine diet, like Japan and China, people do live longer. Of course, what you actually eat less of is probably important also.

Craic is an Anglo-Irish term meaning good conversation, good company, good times etc.
Happily, Ireland has a craic habit, but no crack habit.
.... but the battery life sucks. Anybody know what the battery life is on this thing?
Duct tape is like the force, Luke: it has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
