  1. Hurray! on Microsoft's Family Room Change · · Score: -1, Flamebait

Micro$oft Failed. Rejoice! I made the right decision when purchasing my TiVo! Of course, the M$ solution is never the right solution.

  2. No need to complain on Domain Names to Suck More · · Score: 3, Interesting

Why complain about having a *sucs.com site named after you. Use it as a tool to fix your problems? Or just be flattered that someone took the time to develop a website dedicated to telling the world how much your company sucks. Isn't the irony there pretty thick already?

  3. Linux for the masses on Should Aunt Tillie Build Her Own Kernels? · · Score: 3, Insightful

I think an easy to use, Joe User can make his own kernel is a great step as far as making linux more usable for the masses, i.e in a desktop environment. You can make a more compact kernel without knowing ALL the minute system details and random hardware that most people don't have or know what it is. Definitely a step in the right direction.

  4. Handspring Visor on Where are the non-SDMI MP3 Players? · · Score: 1

The Handspring Visor (any model) and the optional MiniJam MP3 Player could provide a viable solution. It comes with a 64mb memory card that does not limit which way the music (or any other data) can be transfered.

  5. power on the road on Consumer Hydrogen Fuel Cells · · Score: 1

This is just the thing to provide power to my Short Bus when the engine isn't running.

  6. Plain Text on How Would Crypto Back Doors Work? · · Score: 1

Why even have encryption? Let's just make everything plain text. No more secrets!

  7. Micron TransPort GX on Which Laptop To Buy? · · Score: 1

I just purchased a Micron TransPort GX laptop less than 2 weeks ago. It features a 1ghz CPU, 256mb of RAM and 20gig of HDD. It also came with an 8x DVD and a 3 hour battery. It was purchased on Ubid.com, brand new and a full 1 year manufacturer warranty. The price was closer to $1500 than to what I am used to seeing for a laptop with these specs ($2500+). I am normally a Dell guy when it comes to laptops, but I am not disappointed at all with this setup.
