  1. Make it a suggestion both for copyright and patent on Is it Copyrighted or a Trade Secret When Using DRM? · · Score: 1

Actually this is more a suggestion than a question:
Make it so that software patents only hold if the source code is given in the patent application, and make it so that copright is only given if a copy of the work is available somewhere for copying after copyright expires.

But this is a suggestion, not the state of the law.
    I like the idea.

Why do we eventually need to settle elsewhere ? One big reason is that an asteroid might hit earth, killing everyone and destroying most ecosystems.

The ultimate reason is that the sun will go supernova eventually.

Please do read the entire patent before you do shoot the usual patent rant as you did, then you will find this text, which explains it: FIELD OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to a Web site creation tool that enables Web site to be created with the capability to identify a user's particular interface.

Life on Mars is probably carbon based for two reasons:

We believe that Mars might hold life because Mars is relatively similar to Earth. Correct me if I am guessing wrong, but silicon based life forms would live on a planet with higher temperatures.

The second reason is the panspermia theory. Small molecules and pre-bacteria, not very much lifelike, are enough to push the chemistry between planets onto a certain path of evolution.

Source licensees can share source or other source-based work with other source licensees.
This means, the license is viral in a similar way to the GPL; in order to give the code to someone else, you have to infect the other person with the MSsl. Welcome to the club of viral licensors. MS :-)

Source is licensed to the requesting organization, not individuals to insure broad internal access.
The GPL allows a single person to fulfill the american dream and write great code.

Maybe you, but probably the organization you work for, can use the PARTS and CONCEPTS of the code that you developed yourself commerical. You are DISALLOWED to use parts of the source code of MS commercially or otherwise unless you subscribe to the MSsl.
The GPL allows you to use all of the code source, but to withhold and use none of it commercially(but you still can base a business on it, just not on keeping the source).

Microsoft is unable to ship source code under this program to all countries, due to limited resources.
GNU and other sites are distributing source and binaries to gazillions of users, every one of which is allowed to use the code (Luke).

I think the score is: 0:2 for GPL

A university could decide to simply accept all living persons on earth as its members, such allowing everyone to look at MS source code.
