A friend of mine works for the Cartoon Network. She claims that CN is considered a channel for children and not just a channel for cartoon lovers. It is, therefore, subject to the FCC's "KidVid" regulations for childrens programming. Until Ted Turner changes his mind CN cannot show much of the great animation that is out there; not just anime but the animation that tours with Spike and Mike's.
They are planning on doing an "adult block" of programming, but it will not include anime.
