    Go to http://www.russianphilly.net/ and it will happily crash provided that JavaScript is enabled.

    Also try this and this. No good browser should allow you reading from devices. Think of redirects.

    Capabilities in the kernel determine whether you can do certain things, e.g. change parameters of the network or create devices with mknod.

    ACL determine who can access a particular file. It's an extention for the traditional owner/group/mode scheme.

    ACL's are good for giving certain permissions for certain users. On the other hand, kernel capabilities are not for users, they are mostly for daemons that must run as root often just to do one particular thing, e.g. accept connections on a reserved port.

    how am I to upgrade to NS6 when AOL can't be bothered to telnet over to their sparclinux system and type make for me?
    Maybe you should type make for them (and for yourself)? Last time I checked Mozilla compiled just fine. Believe me, NS6 is not any better than today's Mozilla snapshot.

    GNU utilities can deal with binary zeros in the input, as opposed to the traditional UNIX utilities.

    A disassembler in bash (or in gawk) would demonstrate the superiority of GNU software.

    I understand that the set of programs that can be written in that new language will still have cardinality aleph[0] (i.e. countably infinite set).

    What would be truly revolutionary, is a language that would allow you to write a program from a set with cardinality aleph[1] and above.
