I'd like to know specifically why you choose run the site on linux. What features of linux did you find most appealing? What other platforms did you evaluate? What did you look for in your future OS? Low cost? Stability? Availability? What was most important in choosing a new os?
Please give us your reasons for choosing linux over all those other OS'es.
Most of europe is run by socialist governments and we seem to be doing pretty good, thank you very much. Socialism does work pretty well acctually..
Chances are you've never lived outside the US and thus never had a chance to see how a system other than your own works. Most american kids get taught at school that the American Way(TM) is the one and only way to life, liberty, freedom and wealth. (Yes, in case you were wondering, i've lived both in the US and Europe so i have a firsthand experince of both)
Regardless of what you americans may think communism isn't the greatest evil of the 20th century and democracy isn't the perfect way to run a country. it may be the best we got right now, but that doesnt make it perfect:)

Now that they got the anti icbm missile, i cant wait for the anti-anti icbm missile - you know, the little missiles on the icbm destroying the anti icbm missile as they home in to destroy the icbm. Of course, you could always develop the anti-anti-anti missile.

The Alpha processor is probably the worlds fastest . Those 21[123]64 chips are pretty amazing.
