Nope, privacy is being annihilated even as we type and you can bet your bottom dollar (no pun intended) that the powers that be will not allow for anonymous transactions through the cloud. Sweden's little experiment is just to test public response. It's coming folks, like a tsunami. Kiss your privacy goodbye. Another interesting consideration will be the conspicuous absence of normal transactions by "persons of interest". You shall be recognized by the fact that you are not all over facebook blathering about how cute your dog is. So, use your debit card to buy Starbucks and blather liberally about how cute your dog is on facebook. Maybe, just maybe, the eye of Skynet will just pass you by...
DVDFab and Winamp are keeping me in a dual boot configuration. I fired the MicroWeenies in '07 and haven't looked back once. When I can play my music and copy dvds reliably, I will dispense with the ARGHIN' MSASSES entirely. A note here: Let's dispense with wasting coding resources on trying to keep up with the global corral building (Unity and Firefox comes to mind) and concentrate on making Linux applications more user friendly.
Also, good people at Mint, if I want to use a four letter password, that's my business. What right do you have to tell me "No"? You are welcome to nag me once, twice, even thrice with warnings about my stupidity, but telling me NO!!!!! ?????
As far as Apple goes, they are "Whitey". The paragon of Wall Street Greed and Self-service. I like their stuff, but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.;-D
"the right of the people to peaceably assemble..." The goons have clear instructions. If the assembly is peaceful they just stand by and enjoy the show. If the assembly is not peaceful, they move in. The Constitution does not give the government the right to decide when, where, or how.
This is wrong.

It's also a great excuse to argue that these drones should be capable of more and more autonomous functions. More like a Skynet in the sky.
