Yeah, I'm sitting in class at RIT right now. There's a new forensics course starting next month (taught by Troell, who rocks), which will be rolled into the new security/IA degree from GCCIS. There is supposed to be a masters program, starting in the fall.
press release here
I work for a tech support department in a small school district--mostly doing lotus notes and web work (perl, php). We get full college tuition reimbursement (must get at least a C), 1 week/year of other formal tech training, and the cost of as many certification tests as we want. For every certification test we take, we get a week off for study.
Pretty good, as it's getting me through college with several certifications.
Wonderful.. The coffee's expensive BUT the line is long AND your BSOD is just a sip away. I hope they let people order with help from the office paperclip.
I've been using RH7 and Windows2000 for a while now, both with very few problems. Both operating systems/corps have some good things to offer. I like RedHat better -- but remember, they're just operating systems.
Everytime I go out to an R rated movie late at night, I'm shocked at the number of young kids (1-8 years old) I see with thier parents.
Violent, evil movies, games, and web sites are FINE if you are mature enough to handle it! Parents are supposed to protect kids from these things until they are mature enough to decide if it's OK for themselves (i.e. say NO!).
I'm so pissed that GWBush spoke ill of the net last night, while ignoring the issue of crappy parents in America. I'll still vote for him though, as a lesser of two evils.
People speed. That's why the cops hide in the bushes and take issue with my "80mph in a 55mph zone" driving policy.
I agree that it sucks to have to deal with legal issues (I mean come on -- I got into computers because I like computers, not lawyers!), and that we shouldn't have to be bothered. But you may have to, just to cover your bases.
Well of course not. Owning a gun isn't illegal either, but it can be used illegally. If people were fireing guns all over campus, wouldn't it make sense to check and see they were breaking a law?
Although I think it's real cool that they're standing up to MetallicA and co. but how can they claim ignorance about the use of napster on campus? For one, napster is used on every campus (especially because of the MTV coverage). And for two, haven't they noticed a huge increase in LAN traffic since napster's been around? It will be reall tough to prove.
Let's just hack it so MS gets indignant e-mail for everyone in your mailing list when you change your address. Or just not use MSN, but I suppose that's a given.

He's asking for a comparison list of features between the various filesystems, not "which one is best". Read the post again.

Plus college kids are smart enough to figure out new ways to pirate music, and better ways to hide from the administration.
