Actually, the copyright holders usually are the record label and some other companies involved in the production of the music, not the performance The writers and artists generally do not hold any copyright on their songs. In fact, they must ask the record companies if they want to re-perform a song (concerts, "greatest hits so far" albums, etc.)
Of course I have a floppy drive. For groups of files less than 1.44Mb, unless you have a network, a floppy disk is faster than other methods of file transport, such as CD-Rs. Imgine burning 1 Mb of data onto a CD-R. How silly!
You can use the Windows equivelent of cron + a shell script: Task scheduler + batch file and some other progs to send the mail.
