The title and summary fail to mention that this is specifically only for google apps. I'm sure google search will still work for older browsers. I got really excited at first before i went and read the actual blog post. Still a step in the right direction though.
If you want space funding, you need to excite the general public about space.
So that means what? an astronaut MMA league? or maybe some spaceshuttle demolition derby? Unfortunately it seems like things that excite the general public typically don't directly involve science or space.
I am a sprint customer, N.O.V.A. is hardly the biggest problem. My main complaint was the stupid sprint sports apps that like to run in the background. I don't like NASCAR, football, or any other of the sports they included apps for that are uninstallable and automatically run in the background. Funny enough, it seemed like the only sport they didn't have an app for was the NHL (something i would have used). The only reason I rooted my phone was do delete all of those apps, and wouldn't you know... I get twice the battery life.
Is decentralized DNS enough? Im pretty sure your ISP can block traffic to any IP address they want to, much like I can configure my router to not allow any outbound or inbound traffic to any specified IP address. I could be wrong about this, but it's something I always wondered about...
This really isn't that new of a feature. I've been able to do this in safari for at least a year now (command+shift+|)-that last character is a pipe, not a lowercase L. I don't understand "power users" complaining about this change either. Exactly how many of you regularly click into the url bar instead of using command+L(or ctl+L)? I imagine that functionality will still work, its just that the url bar wont show up unless you actually need to type something in it.
It's nice being able to have more space dedicated to the content of the page, even if it is only 50 pixels. No usability is lost from this change.
And what does the postmaster say about the amount of emails stolen?
"It's over NINE THOUSAAAAAAND!"
"WHAT?! NINE THOUSAND?"

You want a cookie for being able to compile something? Too bad, I'm fresh out.
No worries man, i got you covered.
VortexCortex.cookie = "congratulations=Being able to compile something chocolate chunk;";
Yeah sure, i'll just file that quote alongside "640k ought to be enough for anybody".

It's just cookies, who ever complained about cookies?
Maybe we could require sites to provide milk if the serve any more than a couple of cookies...
