  1. Does it work on people? on Making Your Room Quiet · · Score: 1

The only unwanted noise in my office is the incessant babble from my cow-orkers.

No, hang on a minute. Cancelling out people? I should be on alt.mafia.requests

  2. does he get them back? on Guinness Beer Really Sucks · · Score: 1
Accordingly, this Administrative Panel decides that said domain names guinness-really-sucks.com [etc] should be transferred to the Complainant.

So if Guinness doesn't use them, does he get them back? I think if Guinness now has them they should be forced to use them.

You mean we're supposed to have a password? :>

god I'm a nervous wreck with all this password stuff! everytime I sign up for something I go through the same traumas - do I use the same one I've used for all the other things that I need passwords for, which I am led to believe is not very secure, but at least that way I'll remember the damn thing, or do I think of some other random word and use that, and then promptly forget it!!

I know, I'll write them all down on post-its and stick em on my monitor here. that'll do the trick...

oh but then you'd have something less to moan about, and that's not on.

  5. Re:Television on The Return Of The Luddites · · Score: 1
Besides pushing products, television influences our beliefs about the "real world".

    As an aside:

It could be argued that the products television pushes aren't the commercials etc, but us - we, the audience, are the product, constructed by the networks to be sold to the advertisers...

How this helps this debate I don't know, but there you go.

Don't demand that I simplify my PC, and I won't insist that your Mac needs more buttons. Okay?

but it's just a tool, not a thing-in-itself. no reason to get so uptight and defensive and PCs vs. Macs again.

    sheesh.
