I bought the Windows version. I did this because at the time 3D support for my TnT2 was crap. Since then I have downloaded Xfree86 4.0.1 and the Nvidia drivers and the Q3A Linux patch 1.07 and it works perfectly.
I personally think that a hybrid CD would be brilliant, after all you are paying for the game not the OS. Besides most of the people I know who use Linux use Windows as well and would prefer to be able to run the game in both OSes.
